Designation: Junior Mechanical Engineer.
Job Location: Moving on European routes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assists second engineer with paper work.
- Assists second engineer with garbage collection and incinerator operation.
- Assists fourth engineer with bilge transfer and sludge transfer.
- Takes the daily sounding of the different tanks in the engine room.
- Assists duty engineer in preparing the main engine for sailing.
- Learns about the cargo loading and discharging operations.
- Assists engine room crew with cleaning and painting of the engine room.
- Learns about the starting and stopping procedures of the various auxiliary machineries in the engine room.
